MALE VOICE (O.C.)
Attention all passengers flight eighteen-o-four to Orlando will be taking off soon. So all passengers get to the plane. It will be leaving in five minutes. Repeat five minutes.

Orville walks towards the blue line-control ropes. He checks his watch and nervously breathes out. The MAN in front of him notices.

MAN
First time flying?

Orville grins, panicked, and shakes his head no.

ORVILLE
Not for a while. It was my wifeís idea.

The man nods ok, turns on his cell phone and puts his bags on the counter. A FEMALE VOICE comes over the loud speakers.

FEMALE VOICE
Flight 124 has left the runway. Next flight to Los Angeles, California will be in four hours.

A female TICKET TAKER looks towards Orville.

TICKET TAKER
Next in line please.

Orville puts his bag down. She checks it over and attaches a tag on the two bags and puts them on the conveyor belt. Orville stares as the bags are taken through.

TICKET TAKER
So, youíre going to your final destination?

Orville looks towards her, not understanding.

ORVILLE
Hmm?

TICKET TAKER
Going to your final destination?

The ticket taker checks the computer

TICKET TAKER
Charleston, South Carolina?

Orville nods his head.

TICKET TAKER
Got your boarding passes?

Orville nods and nervously holds out the boarding pass. The ticket taker smiles, and nods...

TICKET TAKER
Youíre all set. Gate 11 to Charleston, South Carolina. Have a nice day.

The loud speakers turn on again.

MALE VOICE
This is the last call for Alfred Shatner, repeat this is the last call for Alfred Shatner. Please report to terminal 124 immediately.

FADE TO:
INT. PLANE

Orville walks through the crowded plane.

PILOT (O.C.)
Good afternoon folks, welcome on board. If you see an open cabin board please close it.

Orville spots the only empty seat. By the window, looking over onto the wing of the plane. A middle aged man, ROGER, looks up towards him.

ORVILLE
Excuse me... coming through.

Roger moves out of the way, as Orville nears his seat.

PILOT (O.C.)
It looks like this will be a boarded flight- so if you see any open seat please take it.

Orville looks out the window. Rain crashes down on the wing of the plane.

PILOT (O.C.)
And once again, welcome on board.

A lightning bolt STRIKES against the ground, Orville gulps.

PILOT (O.C.)
Have a nice day.

The engines start up, causing the ground below to shake and rumble. Orville stares out the plane. A mother and her young CHILD sit behind him.

CHILD
Can I play with this mommy?

MOTHER
Wait until weíre up in the air...

CHILD
How long until we take off?

MOTHER
Soon... very soon.

The airplane begins to back up. Orville reclines in his seat, tense. He gulps. There was no escape. Sweat begins to pour down his face. Roger looks towards him.

ROGER
Hey, are you feeling ok?

Orville nods.

ORVILLE
Iíll be fine.

DING-DONG! Orville jumps, frightened.

PILOT (O.C.)
Ladies and gentlemen we declare departure for our immediate flight.

The plane begins to roll down the runway. Orville breathes out.

ORVILLE
Just like Dr. Warren said, everything will be fine. Thereís nothing to...

The plane begins to pick up speed. FASTER and FASTER! Orville holds onto the arms of his chair, frightened.

ORVILLE
Oh god... oh god...

The engines ROAR louder... and LOUDER!!! The wings of the plane begin to flap up and down. FASTER. VROOM! The airplane takes off. Orville closes his eyes, the camera angles down causing a sense of falling. Orville breathes in, out, in, out.

As the plane takes off and into the stormy weather.

INT. PLANE

Orville looks out the window. He breathes out.

ROGER
See nothing to worry about.

Orville looks out the window. They were up amongst the thunderous clouds. Beckoning bad weather. Orville gulps. The stewardess, REBECCA, walks through the plane offering people peanuts. Rebecca looks towards Orville.

REBECCA
Peanuts?

Orville nods

ORVILLE
Yes please.

Orville begins to eat the peanuts, hoping that somehow his fear would go away. Orville looks out the window. A lightning bolt strikes down from the sky. Illuminating the end tip of the plane. Hunched over the planeís prop engines is a green, slimy creature with wide black eyes and saliva drooping down its mouth. This is a GREMLIN! Orville gulps, he slides down his seat and looks again. The creature looks back towards him. Orville SLAMS the window shut.

ORVILLE
Oh god...

He looks over towards Roger, sleeping with his headphones on. Orville breathes out.

ORVILLE Itís nothing. Nothing at all, see...

Orville reluctantly opens the window and looks. STARING back at him through the window is the Gremlin! Orville screams out of fright and closes the window. He closes his eyes.

ORVILLE
It isnít there, it isnít there.

The passengers look towards Orville, curious. Orville stares forward, not paying attention. Not wanting to. He knew what he saw. He looks back out the window. The Gremlin is tearing apart the cowling plate! Orville breathes out, frightened.

ORVILLE
No... no...

Rebecca stops and looks down towards Orville.

REBECCA
What seems to be the problem sir?

ORVILLE
Thereís a man, no- not a man, a creature on the wing of the plane! See!!! See!!!

Orville looks out the window. The Gremlin was gone!

ORVILLE
It was there a second ago, I swear to god.

REBECCA
Sir, please calm down. You're disrupting everybody on the plane.

ORVILLE
Thereís something out there!!! Iím not crazy.
(whispers)
Iím not crazy.

REBECCA
Iíll be right back sir.

Rebecca walks towards the cockpit.

The CO-PILOT peeks his head out and nods looking towards Orville. The Co-Pilot approaches him.

CO-PILOT
What seems to be the problem sir?

Orville looks out the window seeing the Gremlin playing with the propellers of the plane.

ORVILLE
Thereís... something... out there.

They look. Nothing.

ORVILLE
Iím not crazy, Iím not. I saw something out there!!!

Orville gulps, coming to the harsh truth of reality

ORVILLE
Weíre all going to die...

CO-PILOT
Sir, calm down.

ORVILLE
Calm down? Thereís something out there!

The Co-Pilot looks towards the Rebecca.

CO-PILOT
Go get the medication.

Orville shakes his head no.

The plane flies through the air, the Gremlin rips apart the engine.

INT. PLANE

The lights go out.

ORVILLE (O.S.)
Iím not crazy. I told you! I told you!

We hear people SCREAMING as the plane begins to crash down towards the ground. Orville opens the window and looks out. The Gremlin TEARS OFF the Prop Engines. Orville gulps...

ORVILLE
No!!!!

EXT. SKY

The Gremlin hops away. Gliding in the sky. The plane whirls as it madly soars through the sky towards itís final destination.

Sam looks towards Dean, he shrugs and lowers the volume.

DEAN
In the morning. Man, I need you sharp- youíre the one watching my back.

Sam shrugs

DEAN
This about your... premonitions?

Sam doesnít respond. Dean breathes out and nods.

SAM
Dean, whatís happening to me?

Dean breathes out and shrugs

DEAN
I donít know. But, whatever it is weíll handle it like we always do. As a family.

Dean looks towards Sam, worried. Sam glances over towards him. Dean grins, and shrugs.

DEAN
Or dad and I could always hunt your ass.

Dean smiles. Sam grins and laughs shaking his head no. The phone rings.

DEAN
Hello... Jerry?... yeah, sure where is this?

Dean grabs a pen and pad of paper and writes down the address.

INT. IMPALA

Dean stares ahead. Sam is sleeping. Dean nudges Sam, he opens his eyes.

SAM
Huh... what is it?

DEAN
Weíre almost there.

Sam yawns

SAM
What time is it?

Dean glances towards the time...

DEAN
9 Oí Clock. You were out for a good three hours.

Sam rubs his eyes

SAM
Yeah?

DEAN
Thatís what happens when you stay up late.

Sam shrugs and looks out the window.

EXT. EMPTY ROAD

The Chevy Impala drives off, fading into the distance.

INT. NORTH CAROLINA AIRPLANE DEPOT- JERRYíS OFFICE

Dean and Sam look towards JERRY PANOWSKI.

JERRY
Thanks for coming.

Dean nods

DEAN
So, what is it this time? Another Phantom Traveler?

Jerry shakes his head no.

JERRY
As a matter of fact, I donít know what it is. A plane crashed just a couple of days ago.

SAM
What caused it?

JERRY

No one knows yet, whatever caused it to crash... itís something we havenít seen before. I immediately thought to call you guys.
(beat)
Any word from your father yet?

DEAN
Yeah actually, heís safe.

JERRY
Well, thatís good to hear.

SAM
Can we see the plane?

Jerry nods

JERRY
Lukily, I was able to get it shipped over here this time.

FADE TO:
INT. NORTH CAROLINA AIRPLANE DEPOT- GARAGE

They walk next to the remains of the crashed plane 190. Dean looks down towards his home made EMF meter. Nothing.

SAM
Any sign?

Dean shakes his head no.

DEAN
Whatever it was, thereís no reading on it.

They look up towards the investigative team working on the plane.

JERRY
Alright, that will be all for tonight.

The construction men hop down from the plane and walk away. Jerry looks towards Dean.

JERRY
Thereís something I want you to see.

Jerry leads Dean and Sam towards the right wing of the plane. They climb up the stairs leading onto the wing of the plane. Dean looks towards Jerry. Jerry looks down towards the place where the prop engine used to be. Ripped apart, almost looking as though it was clawed off.

DEAN
Hmm...

JERRY
Yeah.

Sam looks down and sees it. He looks towards Dean.

JERRY
What do you think it is?

DEAN
Honestly? I donít know.

Dean breathes out, running his hand along the scrapes of the wing.

SAM
Were there any survivors?

JERRY
Yeah, a couple. But, you guys might want to check out the stewardess.

Dean grins, arcing his right eyebrow

DEAN
Hot?

JERRY
When the police asked her what happened- she told them that it was a monster. She gave no description. Only said that one of the passengers saw it. She didnít.

Sam nods ok.

SAM
How can we get in touch with her?

Jerry hands them the files

FADE TO:
EXT. SUBURBS- AFTERNOON

The Impala pulls up to a small suburban home, blue tiles with a brown brick roof and white garage. Dean and Sam step out.

SAM
So, who are we this time?

Dean checks the police badges

DEAN
Dean Matthews and Samuel Addams

Dean knocks on the door. Rebecca keeps the chain on the door, and opens it at a crack.

REBECCA
Hello? May I help you?

Dean shows her his badge

DEAN
Yes, Iím Officer Matthews and this is my partner Officer Addams.

SAM
We just need to ask you a couple of questions.

Rebecca keeps the door semi-closed.

REBECCA
What about?

DEAN
You were involved in a plane crash a couple of days ago.

REBECCA
I already told the police everything I know.

DEAN
Yeah- itís just...

SAM
We need to go over it again, make sure that we got everything right.

Rebecca laughs shaking head no.

REBECCA
Typical.

Dean and Sam exchange a glance

REBECCA
I wasnít making it up and Iím not trying to cover for anybody. Iím not crazy.

DEAN
No, youíre not. We just need a moment of your time.

REBECCA
Just- leave me alone.

Rebecca moves to close the door. Sam wedges his hand in and stops her.

SAM
All we want is to stop this thing. We believe you.

Rebecca stops and looks back towards them

REBECCA
Why should I believe you?

DEAN
You have no reason to believe us, but weíre telling the truth.

Rebecca looks at them- uncertain. She unlocks the door and opens it.

FADE TO:
INT. REBECCAíS HOME

Dean and Sam sit on the sofa, Rebecca walks in and hands them two cups of coffee.

DEAN
Thank you.

SAM
Thanks.

REBECCA
Least I could do.

Rebecca sits down across from them

REBECCA
So, how can I help?

DEAN
We just need to ask you a couple of questions.

SAM
That night, you claimed you witnessed a man out of control. He believed he saw something.

Rebecca nods

REBECCA
On the wing of the plane.

Dean lowers his coffee, leans in focused.

DEAN
Did he say what this thing looked like?

Rebecca shakes her head no.

DEAN
What was it doing?

REBECCA
Jesus, if only I had listened.

Tears begin to roll down her eyes.

REBECCA
Itís my fault.

SAM
Rebecca. The plane crash. It wasnít your fault.

REBECCA
I should have believed him. v
SAM
Listen to me, there was nothing you could have done to prevent it. Either way, that plane was going to crash.

Rebecca wipes her tears away and nods her head ok.

DEAN
Did anyone else see it?

Rebecca shakes her head no.

REBECCA
No. No one else. He was the only one.

DEAN
This creature, what was it doing?

REBECCA
It tore off the prop engine on the right wing of the plane. He tried to warn us. The plane shook, the lights went off and the plane started to dive- faster and faster. Itís a miracle that Iím still alive.

DEAN
Thanks for your help.

Dean and Sam stand up. Rebecca stands up, looks towards them- hoping.

REBECCA
Whatever did this, can you stop it?

Dean shakes his head yes, Rebecca sighs out relieved. She smiles.

EXT. SUBURBS

Dean and Sam walk down the steps of the house and towards the Impala.

SAM
So, what do you think weíre dealing with?

Dean breathes out and rests his hand against the driverís side of the Impala.

DEAN
Best bet- I would say a Gremlin.

Sam looks towards Dean, confused

SAM
A Gremlin?

Dean nods

DEAN
Gremlins are thought to be spirits of tools and machinery, responsible for various mishaps and breakdowns. More specifically- plane crashes. During the Second World War, pilots started reporting seeing ďmonstersĒ on the wings of their planes messing with the engines.

SAM
Like the Twilight Zone episode? Nightmare at 20,000 feet.

Dean nods.

DEAN

Most of these battle planes crashed, some survived. But, none of them ever really saw anything.

Sam looks towards Dean, confused.

DEAN
For as soon as they looked, whatever it was- was gone. No one ever got a really good look at it.

They get into the Impala.

INT. IMPALA

Dean looks towards Sam.

DEAN
But, I havenít heard of any more signs of Gremlin attacks since then. But, thereís no doubting thatís what caused this.

SAM
So, how do we find out where it will strike next?

EXT. SUBURBS

The Impala drives off.
